Greenhill Leisure Park is a stunning camping and caravanning park, situated in Oxfordshire near the rolling Chiltern Hills and the quaint Cotswolds villages. With the site covering a vast area of 300 acres, and the leisure site encompassing 7 acres, there was a desire to be able to access Wi-Fi throughout the entire farm. With 150 pitches, and the possibility of catering for up to 600 people at one time, not only did the Wi-Fi need to be vast, it needed to be good as well.
Paul Bagnall approached Boffins with what he thought to be a complicated issue, and one which he so desperately wanted to solve in order to provide superior facilities for his campers. Technical director Tony Dawes was keen to assess the site in order to find the best solution possible. With a number of obstacles to overcome, Boffins needed to utilise state-of-the-art equipment in order to successfully cover the entire site.
Not being a simple task, Boffins accessed an aerial view of the farm and established various key sites where equipment could be installed to produce excellent transmission across the site. Not only were these set up, Boffins wanted to minimise wasted transmission in order to keep future costs down. To do so, we installed both Omni-Directional and Uni-Directional Wi-Fi aerials, allowing the transmission to be fine-tuned and tweaked to the site’s needs.
Boffins endeavour to provide a reliable, quick service, and so keeping true to their values, installation of the Wi-Fi was completed in a day. Paul Bagnall says “Boffins did an excellent job in setting up this system for us. We now have a brilliant service which is already benefiting our customer’s visits. This will now allow me to strengthen our sales message when promoting the site to both old and new customers.”
Boffins now oversees all of Greenhill Farm’s IT, and provides constant support. Having a single point of contact reinforces the relationship that has been created, and Greenhill can always rely on Boffins for help and advice when needed.
